This notice explains how Simple Six Education Limited ("we", "us") uses personal information collected through simplesixeducation.com. We keep it to the minimum we need to work with schools.

Who we are

Simple Six Education Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number to follow). We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us about anything in this notice at admin@simplesixeducation.com.

What we collect, and why

• Enquiries and booking requests. When a member of school staff uses one of our forms, we receive their name, role, school, school email address, phone number and the options they're interested in. We use this to reply, arrange calls and bookings, and send information about our programmes. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to schools and running our business) and, where a school books, the contract with that school.
• Free trial and portal accounts. When a member of staff starts a free trial, we receive their name, role, school and school email address, for the same purposes. In this version of the School Portal, account details and a scrambled (hashed) version of the password are stored in the browser on the device being used. We never receive the password.
• Emails you send us. We keep correspondence so we can deal with your enquiry and keep a record of bookings.

We don't ask for, and the website doesn't collect, information about students. The online student booklet and the embedding checklist save only in the browser on the device being used.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The website uses your browser's local storage to remember things you choose, such as being signed in to the School Portal, checklist ticks and booklet answers. You can clear these at any time by signing out or clearing your browser's site data.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information. We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email, who act on our instructions:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the website
• Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to our inbox
• Google Workspace, which provides our email

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to three years after our last contact, and booking and invoice records for six years, as required for tax and accounting. We delete information sooner if you ask us to and we don't need to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to stop sending you information about our programmes. Email admin@simplesixeducation.com and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
